The 5 Senses Rules
Players will receive a warning if they insult people with aggressively rude hand or other non-verbal insulting or threatening gestures. A second offence will incur a 1,000-point penalty and a third offence a one-season ban. While we expect a certain level of banter at the tables overly aggressive or insulting behaviour is not acceptable.
Players will receive a warning if they insult another player with either overly rude language or are seen to be bullying or threatening another player verbally which is seen as not in t\he interest of the game. A second offence will incur a 1,000-point penalty and a third offence a one-season ban. While we expect a certain level of banter at the tables overly aggressive or insulting behaviour is not acceptable.
Players will receive an instant one-season ban from playing in the GB Poker Club if they in any way assault another player in, before or just after a GB Poker Club game. They may also receive a criminal record if we feel it necessary to report them.
All players should ensure that they take consideration of others when playing in the GB Poker Club league. Everyone should make every effort not to be off putting to others and wearing a clean change of clothes, having a wash and wearing deodorant before coming out is in our opinion not to much to ask. The areas where our poker games are played are small and we all have to cram in together for at least a couple of hours so please make an effort. It is unfair to expect others to put up with a lack of hygiene. Any player who is deemed to be breaking this rule will receive a private warning in the first instance then a public warning and a 1,000-point penalty. A third offence will result in a one-season ban. If you have a medical reason why you cannot keep to this rule please speak to your host to discuss a solution.
While you may not all have a great deal of it we do expect you all to enjoy the great taste of the host venue’s refreshments. Our league games are held in bars and pubs not social clubs so everyone is expected to order at least a couple of refreshing drinks from the bar during the evening especially if you make it past the first break. I know some of you drive but the bar is also well stocked in non-alcoholic drinks and the host will always be happy to run to the bar for you so this is not an excuse. We can only continue to run the GB Poker Club if people buy either drinks or food on the night. The Pub will be paying for you to be there and for the host to be running the night and it is not just because we are all really nice people. Tap water does not count as a refreshing drink as it has no Taste!!
